Help

My Internet is really bad. Maybe someone can help. Our wireless router doesn't work and we have to use a long wire to connect ONE computer at a time. Also, the connection lasts about 5-10 minutes before we have to manually disconnect and reconnect while holding our breath. Any suggestions would be GREAT!
